New Look

Well,

Something happened with the template on my old blog. I logged into it this morning and it was completely messed up. Apparently, some of the code that it was accessing (the graphic elements) had been deleted and the blog did not now how to process the information without the proper code in place.

So, after a quick search of the web for a new template, I decided to go with something green for the time being.

All my links are gone but I'll get them back up between now and the weekend.

C'est la vie virtual!

Yup, I changed it

It was getting to that point and I wanted to update my blog.

After I searched through the web for a cool, new template I found one that reminded me of my fondness for journals and notebooks.

This one incorporates the important elements I wanted: Green, Notebook and uncluttered.

Whatcha think?

New Look

Well, as some people have commented - I always like to work on my blog.

I finally was able to get the template changed to accommodate three columns and once I made that change I was on a roll. I dug around and found an image of a notebook for the title and then renovated the color scheme.

It's very earthy.

P.s. I just checked the new layout on my old desktop and WOW it looks wonky. The title text is cut off and the colors are all screwed up. However, when I checked it on Josh's computer and the laptop it looks fine.

If anyone sees any abnormalities on the page please let me know. I still have a lot to learn about CSS.

New Look

I went with a new look for the blog because I was tired of the old one.

This is a lot cleaner than the first but I'm not sure how I'm going to tweek it just yet.

Bladejester?

So here I am reading through my blogger hits to see if anything odd popped up and what'ya know...

One of the links was from the Chillicothe Gazette; a forum post actually.

So I looked it up and someone named Bladejester made this comment:

"mr. natural -

Contact the person who has the following blog.

http://tomsdigitalnotebook.blogspot.com/

Book binding and script are hobbies of his. He knows what he's doing, and if he won't do it for you, chances are that he will point you toward someone who will. He's a decent sort as a general rule"

So... I'm curious as to who would Bladejester be.

According to the forum profile, they're in software development.

The post was from November of last year and the guy, Bladejester, mentioned me by name.

How... curious. :)

I'm on forums now!

The Green Pilgrim Journals

Ok, how cool is it that my books have been shown on an internationally viewed blog?

AWESOME

I'm still doing my happy dance.

Click on the icon above to go to their site.

The weird thing is that the journals that they mentioned (on Notebookism - thy name by praised), were cardboard covered books I made as a cheaper alternative to leather covers. One of their contributors saw it on Flickr and asked for permission to post it.

I for see some binding in my near future.

Woo Hoo!!!

Go me!

New Feature

I've added a new feature on the menu to the left that has clips from youtube. It shouldn't slow down the load speed of the page and is kinda neat.

New design

I'm trying to get a new design for the blog to have this as the mast-head, but it's not working out so well as I would hope.

Yes, you have to click on the image above to see the real size. Since the blog program shrinks images to fit, this looks a little fuzzy.

New Blog

I decided to start a new blog as of 11/01/06 and put it on Blogger Beta to prevent things from going off-line for so long as they did for the past few weeks. My host, Frognet, is having some issues and I'd rather keep my blog somewhere I know my friends can access it more easily.

This new blog is less cluttered than the first one - fewer icons and graphics, but I like that. I may change things after a while but for now it works for me.

Email Issues

In case you're trying to email me, I'm having some problems with Roadrunner.

My pop-server and smtp-server connections are being refused but, of course, it's not Roadrunner's problem.

So after consulting with the Evermind (aka Bryian), I've installed Thunderbird and waiting to talk to yet another tech at Roadrunner for assistance.

Until I post otherwise, please email me at thomas_the_green@yahoo.com

Thanks.
